The girls had their first swimming lessons last night. Honestly, I didn't think they would do that great. Bridget was somewhat brave at the pool last summer but Audrey would never leave the stairs.
They both ended up doing great! Audrey's class was first and she hopped right into the pool and did all of the exercises, including putting her head under, trying to float (she's still a little stuff when she tries that) and she even jumped off the side to the teacher.
Bridget's class was next and they did pretty much the same thing. Bridget looked more relaxed than Audrey while floating and did so well that the teacher is moving her up to the next level for the next class! That is nice for me because that class is the same time as Audrey's so we will be getting out if there about 40 minutes earlier!
I wanted to get pictures of the girls by the pool to document their first class. Audrey threw her towel off, stuck her goggles in her head and posed. Bridget wouldn't smile for me and the chlorine made her little cheeks turn red.
As we were leaving, Audrey put her towel around her neck to walk out because, as she told me "That's what swimmers do." :)
